Gladney Family Assoc. 2010 KICK OFF!

It was great to get together earlier this month for our Kick Off Party! A BIG thank you to Adriana & Carlos Martinez and IBC Bank for sponsoring such an awesome event.

Our next event is scheduled for October 23, 2010 @ 8:30 am. Get ready for our 1st Annual Halloween Road Rally! This will be a 1/4 mile fun walk for children of all ages! We are inviting them to come in their costumes and ride the parade route on bikes, trikes, strollers, or battery-operated vehicles. Can you imagine the fun? :) We will be extending the invitation to all Gladney families as well as friends in the community to raise money for Gladney's Humanitarian Aid Campaign (small registration fee for participates). More info to follow soon!

Our special guests will be an "adoption triade". Tara Staglik was born to Katherine Graves in 1971 who relinquished her for closed state adoption in Louisiana. She was adopted at 4 months by MayNell and Glann Machen. When Tara was 18, MayNell searched for Katherine and in 1991, a year later, a reunion occured. That was almost 18 years ago and they all three have been one united integrated family ever since. And to boot - Tara, (adoptee) and Katherine (birth mother) now own a business together! How's THAT for a reunion story!

Please join us for this special luncheon. This will be a 'dutch treat' event.

The San Antonio GFA welcomed Spring with an Easter Egg hunt hosted at the home of Chris & Cyndy Sutton. Everyone had an Eggs-cellent time hunting Easter Eggs, and the highlight of the party was when the Easter Bunny made a visit!

Punch, cookies and Santa... Oh my! Everyone had a great time celebrating the season at the San Antonio GFA Holiday Party hosted by the Duphornes. Of course the star of the show was SANTA himself!
